Chambers USA 2018 Recognizes 5 Radler White Attorneys as Industry Leaders

July 17, 2018

Radler White Parks & Alexander LLP is the only Portland real estate law firm to receive tier one recognition in 2018 from Chambers USA, a leading national peer and client review organization. In addition, five of the firm’s attorneys have been recognized by Chambers USA as industry leaders in its annual review of real estate and land use lawyers.

“We are deeply gratified by this year’s Chambers USA reviews, which indicate we are serving our land use and real estate clients at the highest level of professional excellence,” said Dina Alexander, a Founding Partner of Radler White Parks & Alexander LLP. “To receive this recognition from our clients and professional colleagues is a great honor.”

In its 2018 review, Chambers USA calls Radler White a “[d]istinguished real estate boutique firm recognized for its strengths across a range of transactions including leasing, joint venture formations, acquisitions, sales and financings.” Reviewers praised the firm for its “fast and thorough response to requests for legal advice,” its “assistance with urgent matters” and its “top-drawer personal and professional relationships with clients.”

As a group, Radler White’s attorneys are noted for their “wonderful ability to understand complicated legal issues and communicate the core concerns in a manner that is both understandable and effective for the clients.” They are called “very experienced, detail-oriented, fierce advocates for clients’ interests” by the Chambers USA peer and client reviewers. The following Radler White attorneys have been recognized in the 2018 Chambers USA rankings:

Barbara Radler (Partner) – 2018 Chambers USA Industry Leader in Real Estate Law

The Chambers USA reviewers acknowledge that Barbara has built a “renowned commercial real estate practice” advising clients on leases, acquisitions, and financings. Chambers USA commentators say she is a “top tier” practitioner who is “respected for knowing real estate law inside out.” Barbara has practiced law in Portland, Oregon since 1982, focusing on sophisticated real estate transactions, leasing, financing, acquisitions, sales, and the law affecting real estate brokers and property managers. She has assisted clients with some of the region’s largest and most complex real estate projects.

Barbara is a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. She has been recognized in Best Lawyers and Chambers USA as an industry leader in real estate law every year since 2003. She has also been recognized as one of the top 25 women lawyers by Oregon Super Lawyers.

Christe White (Partner) 2018 Chambers USA Industry Leader in Land Use Law

The Chambers USA commentators say Christe is “revered” for the “strength of her land use and zoning practice” in which she counsels a “multitude of industrial, educational and commercial clients.” One Chambers USA reviewer says “She is without peer when it comes to client interactions and work ethic.” Others say she is “extraordinarily strategic” with a “very broad grasp of the technical issues.” Christe has recently assisted the University of Portland with its long-term campus expansion and has helped ESCO The corporation negotiate with the City of Portland to modernize the zoning designation of its 20-acre industrial manufacturing campus, which has been in continuous operation for more than 100 years. Christe was recently named a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers.

Tim Parks (Partner) 2018 Chambers USA Industry Leader in Real Estate Law

The Chambers USA commentators say Tim is “well regarded in the Oregon market for his transactional real estate practice.” He is “a popular choice of counsel for companies in the hospitality sector advising on hotel development and expansion projects as well as property acquisitions, sales, and financing.” Tim provides comprehensive, business-oriented counsel that includes the ability to assess the tax implications, investment risks, and financial opportunities of a wide range of business and real estate transactions.

Dina Alexander (Partner) 2018 Chambers USA Industry Leader in Real Estate Law

The Chambers USA reviewers say Dina is “esteemed” and “talented, reasonable and solutions-oriented.” Others note she is “reliable, complete, and knows how to get things done.” Reviewers say she is “sought out for her PPP [Pubic Private Partnership] experience and distinguished reputation advising on project development, acquisitions and dispositions, leases, and financing.” Dina is a Fellow of both the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the American College of Mortgage Attorneys.

Steven Hultberg (Partner) 2018 Chambers USA Industry Leader in Land Use Law

The Chambers USA reviewers note that Steven “has rapidly developed a formidable reputation for zoning and land use from the firm’s Bend office.” His work is held in “high regard.” Steven has significant land use entitlement experience, including practice before local governments, administrative agencies, and appellate courts. He has also developed broad real estate transactional knowledge, working on financing documents, purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, and easements. Steve recently secured approval of Oregon State University-Cascades’ 128-acre campus master plan from the City of Bend, which will allow the university to expand to 5,000 students over the next 15 years.
