At Radler White, we demonstrate our commitment to community through pro bono work and public service leadership. Our attorneys have devoted hundreds of hours of free, life-changing legal services to our pro bono clients, and they also serve on leadership teams for some of our community’s most impactful organizations.
Commitment to Pro Bono Work
We believe pro bono legal services are an essential element of the legal profession. Lawyers possess unique skills and abilities to serve persons of limited means and to promote the public interest. In addition, many attorneys get immense personal satisfaction from providing legal services for people who would not otherwise have access to them.
See below for a few examples of our pro bono work.
Zoee Powers represents a mother and teenage daughter who were separated at the border and sought legal asylum in the United States. She obtained legal status for this family and continues to work for them, helping navigate the complex path to citizenship.
The firm supports the vital work of St. Andrew Legal Clinic (SALC) as an annual sponsor of its Race for Justice. SALC provides affordable legal services to low-income families in crisis and has been serving Oregon families for over 40 years.
Pro bono is not a requirement for any member of the firm. However, we place a high value on the willingness to serve and become involved with the community. Lawyers who do pro bono work also receive invaluable training and experience that broadens their professional development and expands their community awareness.
Leadership & Public Service
We encourage and support efforts to engage with and improve our communities through a variety of public service activities. Being a leader for our clients often means being a leader in the community.
See below for examples of our public service leadership activities.
As a Board Member of Oregon Smart Growth, Christe White helps guide this organization in its mission to promote walkable, livable, economically successful communities for all residents.
